Extensive Consultation Effort The project has held nearly 5,500 public consultation meetings in the decade since the project began in 1993 through mid-year 2003 — reaching tens of thousands of people in hundreds of villages throughout the project area. This has been one of the most extensive public consultation efforts for a single project in the history of Africa. |
