Transparent Compensation Process
The project pays compensation in public sessions so all can see that everyone is being treated equally. Public payment is just one aspect of the project’s consultation-based compensation program. The process includes at least four consultation steps: an informational session on the compensation principles, a public consultation dialogue on the proposed compensation payments, a session to propose payments and post them in the village and, finally, the actual payment in a public meeting.
