Monitoring Staff Professional environmental and safety monitors were stationed throughout the project area to check compliance with the provisions of the World Bank-approved Environmental Management Plan. At the peak of construction, over 150 monitors were in place. Their work in turn was monitored by several independent groups commissioned by the World Bank. |
