Improving
the Roads This farmer and his oxen are taking advantage of one of the newly improved roads in southern Chad. When the project began, the existing roads in southern Chad and northern Cameroon were not sufficient to support the transport of many thousands of tons of construction material and equipment. The project upgraded and repaired a 600 kilometer road route from a railhead and freight storage yard in Ngaoundal, Cameroon, all the way to Komé, Chad. |
