Tons of Project Freight
These trucks carried the first project freight across the new bridge at M’béré. The bridge has created a new border crossing between Cameroon and Chad. In total, the project moved 480,000 metric tons of construction freight to work sites throughout the project area, the equivalent of nearly 50 Eiffel Towers or six Washington monuments. The shipments included 88,000 lengths of pipe like the ones on these trucks, delivered to Africa by ship from steel mills in France and Germany.
