Education
Built into the Roll Back Malaria effort is public education about
what causes malaria, what to do to help someone who gets it and
ways to prevent it. The most effective prevention measure is avoiding
the mosquito bites that spread the disease parasite. Anti-mosquito
bed nets help do that at night, when the malaria-carrying mosquito
species is most active. When the Roll Back Malaria campaigns are
complete, the project will have distributed a total of 74,000 anti-mosquito
bed nets in Chad and Cameroon.
