Healthcare
According to the World Bank, 74% of the people of Chad and 85% of
the people of Cameroon do not have access to health care. Those who
do make it to a hospital or clinic often find it overcrowded and
understaffed. At N'Djamena General Hospital, Chad's largest medical
center, beds are set-up in an outdoor hallway of the pediatrics ward
to accommodate as many sick children as possible. |
