“I plan and supervise all activities in my area of responsibility. We are required to ensure that legal requirements and procedures are observed, and give special weight to health, safety and the environment. At the moment, I’m working on the Balder production ship in a rotation which involves a tour offshore, a spell at our Forus office and then a free period.

“Working in a company as large as ExxonMobil is very interesting. We have activities in many countries, and that lays the basis for solid knowledge and experience. Our governing documentation is based to a substantial degree on the company’s ‘best practice’. Great emphasis is placed on giving each employee the training required to do their job in a safe manner. I work in a secure and enjoyable environment together with good colleagues of both genders. The job is challenging, with many interesting assignments pursued by a team of highly qualified personnel.

“But once my tour has ended, it is still good to be able to go home and relax for a while.”
