Fife (30 August 2007) -- ExxonMobil Chemical Limited's donation of £1,100 to Fife Headway will allow them to purchase desperately required scanning and printing equipment, enabling them to share more information with their clients.
Fife Headway is a local support group for those who have suffered a head injury, whether by an accident or illness. Headway exists to help all those involved come to terms with the changes which can occur and to offer information, support and advice to the injured, their families, carers and professionals.
The donation was raised as part of the site's Turnaround safety incentive scheme, which rewards employees for working safely and developing and implementing safety initiatives.
Craig McCafferty, Turnaround night shift manager, who organised the presentation, said: "We all obviously benefit on a daily basis by ensuring that Nobody Gets Hurt, but it is also great for us to see local people and organisations positively benefit from our safety efforts."
Fife Headway is there for individuals who have suffered a head injury and for their carers, friends and families. Whether this injury was caused by accident or illness, they offer information, comfort and support from people with real experience.
